The purpose of ECSF® has been described in § 2 of the Statutes:
“…2. The Foundation promotes and undertakes measures that are appropriate to ensure that health care for patients and occupational practice in the field of medicine can be performed on a uniformly high level throughout Europe…”
ECSF® pursues its purpose through organization of the yearly Cologne Consensus Conference and the activities of EBAC® (European Board for Accreditation of Continuing Education for Health Professionals).
